Great atmosphere, lots of different people from all over the world, loved the band that played for Halloween and loved the beer! Thank you so much from an AUSSIE 😊

4 stars only because it's under renovation still after year of my last visit and still i could not see it. :(

Really bad service - more or less thrown out way before advertised closing time tonight. Apparently it's still open, but that's a lie. Consider the rudeness of staff combined with the high prices of drinks, I unfortunately shall never return.

The Kyoto Station branch of Man in the Moon is worth visiting mainly because of the convenient location. Nothing all that different when compared to other locations; decor is the same, of course the prices are the same, even the posters on the wall are the same. Only differences I noticed was this location seemed more geared towards sports a bit, and of course staff were not the same. I stopped in for lunch. On average the lunch menu is about Â¥100 discount from the non-lunch menu. I had the BLT sandwich. Not the best, but pretty good. ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

This is a nice little pub if you want to grab a drink near the station. During the day, it's pretty quiet, so it's a good place to go if you want to get away from the crowds while you're at Kyoto Station. The only downside is that the service can be a bit slow for food.

Nice little pub which is convenient if you are in Kyoto station area. Nice selection of beers and some tasty pub food selections. Maybe a little pricey. Very popular with expats and foreign tourists which may be a pro or a con depending on what you are looking for.

This is a solid place with on par prices for a bar in Japan. But they're very friendly, can speak and understand English, and they have some good pizzas, mushroom risotto, and juicy lamb chops.Plus a strong drink selection of things like Guiness!!It's a cozy atmosphere, so you might have to navigate around people if it gets busy.

This is one of the nearest places in Kyoto that happening and full of foreigners! I like the ambient here as full of foreigners that gave me a feeling of security and "this is the right place" to hang out. Besides, I would categorize this as Irish bar...may be... try it out then! The Japanese staffs here are ok with English.

Tiny (like much of Japan), but well stocked with choice for beer on tap. Several screens to watch a game and they cranked up the sound so you could actually hear the game.

So much fun and so many types of liquors

Good people drink good beer!

Great selection of beers and whiskey and scotch. They even had Guiness on tap. If you are vegetarian, they have a vegetarian pizza which was decent plus some small sides. The chocolate brownie was amazing

This Pub is a rare find! Don’t be turned off by its small size. The staff are friendly and accommodating and they have great live music that really gets everyone’s toe taping. Good western food too!

What a great Friday evening. Live music and great atmosphere. Anyone who thinks the Japanese are shy and retiring should visit here. We were rocking away with them and chatted to many locals. The local band and female singer were brilliant. We sank a number of Guinness, Kilkenny, Cocktails and had Pizza, Chicken and Chips. A top night.

Great Location we had a lot of fun

My expectations were high about this place. Unfortunately, we got frustrated. We order a hamburger, but they sold out. Then, we order a pizza and it took more than 30min to be ready. It’s a place for smokers... not my vibe. Wrong person at the wrong place.

4 stars or 5 if you are in the right mood. A must visit if you are just dropping by Kyoto. This is by far the best of the Man in the Moons in Kyoto with the other ones being a bit dead. Back in the day this place had some massive nights. Maybe it still does and i just got old. Right under the south side of Kyoto Station it’s a fun place with English speaking staff and smoking permitted. It can get a little rowdy in a good way on weekends. They serve a mean car bomb-that’s a Guinness with a Bailey’s shot for the uninitiated. Great way to end the night. Fun place 5 minutes from the trains.

A nice selection of imported beers on tap, and the food from the kitchen can definitely pass as an acceptable dinner meal. The place is crawling with non-Japanese, which may or may not be a good thing depending on what kind of experience you're looking for. The place can feel pretty crampt when it fills up, which is often.

Cozy spot to grab a pint of Guinness

Good ambience and the staff speak great English but it's potential is severely limited by it's size. Find a bigger and better location - your customers will follow you there!

Great little pub for a few drinks and superb selection of whiskey

The publican is a lady who knows exactly how to be a great host. Well worth a visit.

Full of Irish and other Anglos. Lovely Japanese and ex-pat staff. Very friendly place.

Good beers. The food is average. Good ambience. The staff was not as nice as you'll expect considering how nice people in Japan treats you.
Rebecca Coles
Great English speaking bar

The staff is super friendly.

Friendly bar with a nice pint of Blue Moon and excellent buffalo wings.

A pleasant and busy pub located outside Kyoto station. The service was good and there was a good selection of drinks. I went for the local ale and my girlfriend had cider. I’d recommend a visit.

Not the best burger but good enough. However, the reason this place gets 5 stars is becauseof the great atmosphere, staff, and beer. Pass by for a few pints if you need to chill. Highly recommend. The staff just make your visit worthwhile

Nice Irish Pub Bar in Kyoto. Nice service and people.

Can't believe I ended up in an Irish Bar in Japan. But it happened. So what was it like? Tip #1. If you want a large beer, order a bottle; the draft will cost you a lot more. Friendly staff, and music that is just a bit too loud. But then, that's what most Irish pubs are like, so I guess you are getting the authentic Irish experience. Food is tasty and not too expensive. Burgers are tasty, but more like meatloaf than some of the 100% beef burgers you might get back home in Ireland. Good nachos and onion rings too. Smoking is allowed here too which is also a bit of a shock for us Irish. Overall, good buzz, and decent food. Enjoy!

Great night here watching rugby world cup matches with oz, england, scotland kiwi and welsh supporters. No animosity between rugby supporters. Bar staff were brilliant in handling a jammed packed clientele, served expeditiously and with great humour. A definite return to this pub should I ever find myself in Kyoto again.
Jim Kipp
Good beer. Nice people

Didn't stay there. Went there to watch Arsenal game but they didn't have the channel showing that game. A pint of Guinness is 1000 yen. Smoking pub so not a place for non smoker. Seemed lovely though.
